Practice Question 01 – If you are diluting Peppermint essential oil to use on a 6-year-old child (who you have never given essential oils to before), how many drops of Peppermint oil would you put in a 10 mL bottle?
Practice Question 02 – If you have a 1-month-old baby who you regularly give Lavender essential oil to for sleep, what is the maximum dilution percentage you can use? (dilution % is signified by the % sign in the chart)
Practice Question 01 Answer – To find the answer, I first look for the age bracket on the right side of the chart, which includes the child’s age. Since the child is 6 years old, I look at the dilution options in the 6-11 year-old range. Since this is the first time I have given essential oils to this child, I start at the lowest dilution %, which is 5%. This means that I will put in 15 drops of Peppermint into my 10 mL bottle. I will then fill the rest of the bottle with a carrier oil, like Fractionated Coconut Oil, before applying to the child.
Practice Question 02 Answer – To find the answer, I first look for the age bracket, which includes the baby’s age. Since the baby is 1-month-old, I look in the 0-12 month old bracket. I can see that, in this bracket, I have the option to use a percentage from 0.5% all the way up to 2%. Since I want to find the maximum dilution percentage, I take the upper range of that, which is 2%. When making a solution for the baby, I would then be sure to use no more than 3 drops per 5mL of carrier oil.

My favourite ways to use Peppermint is before a workout and headache relief.
Done! Hopefully my math didn’t fail me on this one.
Love peppermint for the on set of a headache and muscle aches.
I use peppermint oil for headaches. I have also used it to help reduce fever in my kids and was totally shocked by how effective it is!
Amazing, isn’t it?
I’m very new to doTerra so I’ve been learning a lot lately researching all the different products. Regarding the SuperMint oil, I’m eager to try it for soothing headaches and sore muscles. I love the idea of mixing it with orange oil in my palms and inhaling it for energy, or mixing with any citrus and inhaling for clarity. I’m a mom of two and sometimes, mommy brain gets the better of me. This could really be a game changer for me. Regarding mixing it with the chocolate, sorry but I’m not so sure about that one just yet, but I’m willing to give it a shot and try it out.
Antonella, it is incredible mixed with chocolate! You must try it, especially given that you are a baker 🙂
❤️ peppermint and orange amazing. Antonella, the tiny vial in your baggy from me was a super mint and the 5ml wild orange. Try them out today you will love it. 🙌🏻
My favourite uses for peppermint are for sore muscles and also to mix with wild orange and diffuse. I love the smell especially around Christmas!

Super mint is quickly becoming our new family favourite ❤️
I use pepermint on my temples and on the roof of my mouth for headaches. I love putting a few drops on the rocks and diffuse in the sauna!
Reading the blog is a great reminder of other ways to use peppermint, sometimes I forget! My favourite ways to use peppermint is for muscle tension, onset of a tension headache, as well as to take it orally as it reduces feelings of nausea.
I love the fresh smell of mint diffusing while I exercise and clean the house! The clean energizing arouma lifts my spirit. I also love using peppermint when I have a headache and need relief.
What a great idea, to use it to clean and then it’s a instant mood lifter as well!

I use peppermint and fennel in capsules for indigestion, bloating and heartburn. Works like a charm in no time. I also use it in insect sprays. Great for headaches. So many uses!

My favorite way to use peppermint is for headache relief too. It’s so fast and effective!
I love peppermint for heartburn, or breathing issues, but I found your “healthy” “red bull” really interesting, I will be trying it!
I love the tip about applying peppermint oil to the roof of your mouth with your thumb to relieve headaches.
Hi, I have a question about the Navigation bar on the left. It is not showing that I have completed anything. Should it be showing I have completed 2 / 2, etc?
Peppermint is one of my favourite oils. I use it for nausea and for headaches. Spearmint is my most favourite worn daily with cheer – I call it my happy teacher blend. I can’t wait to get my hands on the supermint!
Love how the Super Minty blend could be used to relieve arthritic pain.
That was an educational nugget for me.
Love that point as that is something I can share with others.
Sharing is caring Mel! 🙂
I use peppermint in so many ways. This summer was my 1st time using it as a cooling mist during a day of golf. Loved it and will surely be very useful in the next couple of years (ugh ugh, menopausal fun coming soon).
I wish you were MY private chef Kimberley. Your cooking was so delicious last spring 💓
Ah, thanks Nancy 🙂
I like cooking, I just don’t have the time to do it all the time.
I’ve been trying peppermint before bed to help regulate my body temperature through the night.
Awesome thank you
Peppermint is always my go-to if I’m starting a headache. I also love the drop on the back of the neck in the summer as I do not have air conditioning.
One of my first uses for peppermint was to get rid of mice since I lived in the country. It did seem to work. I also love it for digestive issues, muscle soreness and in my hot chocolate. Yum
I love peppermint for my headaches and migraines, but I love that you call the Wild Orange and Peppermint hand bong and healthy red bull.
