Education

The brand new dōTERRA SuperMint essential oil blend is a combination of four different types of mint essential oils: Peppermint, Japanese Mint, Bergamot Mint, and Spearmint. The SuperMint product line – which includes a 15 mL bottle of SuperMint, a 10 mL SuperMint Touch rollerbottle, and SuperMint beadlets – will be released in January 2023!

When people think of mint essential oils – like Peppermint or Spearmint – they often think about freshening one’s breath or enhancing athletic performance by increasing oxygenation to the body. These are powerful ways to use mint essential oils, but they are not the only ways to do so!

For example, when SuperMint was first released, a group of my business leaders had gathered to experience the new products firsthand. One of the women suffered from acute arthritic pain, and, when she used the new dōTERRA SuperMint essential oil blend, applying it topically, she had incredible and almost instantaneous relief. We were all amazed and beyond excited!

When diffused or used topically, SuperMint releases an invigorating, energizing aroma that helps create a compelling and uplifting environment, one that is ideal for mental focus and enhanced stamina. In order to use the dōTERRA SuperMint blend topically – or any of dōTERRA’s essential oils, for that matter – it is important to know about how to properly dilute these pure, potent, and powerful natural health products.

Essential Oil Dilution Guide. How To Use This Chart: Put this chart on your fridge and use it as a quick reference when diluting dōTERRA essential oils with carrier oils. First, note the age of the person you’re giving the blend to. Second, choose a dilution percentage within their age range on the chart. Start with a smaller percentage at first, and increase as needed, while staying within the age bracket. Third, mix the essential oil with a carrier oil and apply as needed, where needed.

Before you try the quiz, practice reading the chart a few times. Download the chart to your computer or print it off, so that you can look at this chart while you’re answering the quiz question. Here are a couple of practice questions:

How to download the dilution chart

Kimberley’s Journal Entry – DAY 1
What do I want for Christmas?

I’m not sure what I want for Christmas… today I’m thinking it would be really great to have a PRIVATE CHEF. Imagine all the tasty food.

  1. I’m very new to doTerra so I’ve been learning a lot lately researching all the different products. Regarding the SuperMint oil, I’m eager to try it for soothing headaches and sore muscles. I love the idea of mixing it with orange oil in my palms and inhaling it for energy, or mixing with any citrus and inhaling for clarity. I’m a mom of two and sometimes, mommy brain gets the better of me. This could really be a game changer for me. Regarding mixing it with the chocolate, sorry but I’m not so sure about that one just yet, but I’m willing to give it a shot and try it out.

❤️ peppermint and orange amazing. Antonella, the tiny vial in your baggy from me was a super mint and the 5ml wild orange. Try them out today you will love it. 🙌🏻

  2. Peppermint was the first oil that I used before joining doTERRA. I used it for digestive relief and found it to be a miracle cure. I love the new supermint blends, both the 15 mL and the beadlets!

  3. Reading the blog is a great reminder of other ways to use peppermint, sometimes I forget! My favourite ways to use peppermint is for muscle tension, onset of a tension headache, as well as to take it orally as it reduces feelings of nausea.

  4. I love the fresh smell of mint diffusing while I exercise and clean the house! The clean energizing arouma lifts my spirit. I also love using peppermint when I have a headache and need relief.

  5. I use peppermint and fennel in capsules for indigestion, bloating and heartburn. Works like a charm in no time. I also use it in insect sprays. Great for headaches. So many uses!

  6. Hi, I have a question about the Navigation bar on the left. It is not showing that I have completed anything. Should it be showing I have completed 2 / 2, etc?

  7. Peppermint is one of my favourite oils. I use it for nausea and for headaches. Spearmint is my most favourite worn daily with cheer – I call it my happy teacher blend. I can’t wait to get my hands on the supermint!

  8. Love how the Super Minty blend could be used to relieve arthritic pain.
That was an educational nugget for me.
Love that point as that is something I can share with others.

  9. I use peppermint in so many ways. This summer was my 1st time using it as a cooling mist during a day of golf. Loved it and will surely be very useful in the next couple of years (ugh ugh, menopausal fun coming soon).

I wish you were MY private chef Kimberley. Your cooking was so delicious last spring 💓

  10. Elizabeth Larkin

Peppermint is always my go-to if I’m starting a headache. I also love the drop on the back of the neck in the summer as I do not have air conditioning.

  11. One of my first uses for peppermint was to get rid of mice since I lived in the country. It did seem to work. I also love it for digestive issues, muscle soreness and in my hot chocolate. Yum
