Our emotions dictate how we feel and what actions we take.
If we let our emotions run wild and don’t manage them well, we will not be as productive as we would like to be. Productive meaning getting what we want done in the world.
Today I am going to share ways you can manage your emotions for better health – emotionally, mentally, and spiritually by using essential oils for aromatherapy.

Using Oils for Emotional Aromatherapy
The above photo illustrates various emotions as well as their corresponding oils.
Personally, every winter I start to feel down. Less sunlight creates some gloomy emotions. Gratefully, I have oils that I can use to mitigate these effects.
When you look above at the chart, you can see that if you are feeling gloomy or sad, you can smell a citrus-based oil. This will help uplift your mood dramatically!

The Power of Adaptiv
Adaptiv is an essential oil blend that dōTERRA created within the last year or so that has created a sensation within the dōTERRA community.
When stress and tension seem to be relentless, Adaptiv Calming Blend is the precise solution. Use Adaptiv to help get comfortable with new surroundings or situations.
For example, when a big meeting is coming up, or another important event, keep Adaptiv Calming Blend on hand to help you relax and adapt.
In preliminary studies, the scent of Lavender, a main ingredient of Adaptiv, has been found to contribute to an environment conducive to performing tasks requiring sustained attention. Other ingredients such as Lavender, Magnolia, Neroli, and Sweetgum provide stress-relieving effects while Wild Orange and Spearmint energize and uplift.
How to Manage Your Emotions
According to researchers, the vast majority—a whopping 75-98 percent—of the illnesses that plague us today are a direct result of our thought life.
What we think about truly affects us both physically and emotionally.
In fact, fear alone triggers more than 1,400 known physical and chemical responses in our bodies, activating more than thirty different hormones!
Dr. Caroline Leaf is a neuroscientist and brain development researcher. Her book Switch On Your Brain was life-changing for me. I learnt how my thoughts affect my results (and my body) and how to rewire my thought patterns.
